Ingredients:
1 lb Potatoes (450 grams)
Sliced however you like. The thinner you slice them, the crispier they will be.
I used red potatoes, but you can use russet or gold potatoes as well.
Olive Oil Spray
Seasoning Mixture:
¼ tsp Fresh Ground Black Pepper
½ tsp Garlic Powder
½ tsp Onion Powder
¼ tsp Crushed Rosemary
Himalayan Pink Salt, to taste
Instructions:
Preheat the air fryer to 400 degrees.
You will blanch your potatoes first, prior to placing them in the air fryer. This helps to remove starch and create a better texture. Bring a small pot of water to a boil. Add your potatoes and boil for 4 minutes. Remove from heat and either rinse with cool water or briefly place in an ice bath.
Drain the potatoes thoroughly (you may even pat them dry with a paper towel).
Place the potatoes in a large, dry bowl. Lightly coat them with olive oil spray.
Add the seasoning mixture and toss well.
Place your potatoes in an even layer into the basket of your preheated air fryer.
Cook for 8 minutes, toss, cook for 8 minutes more.
Depending on your air fryer, you may have to cook your fries a few minutes longer, especially if you like very crispy fries.
Remove the potatoes and toss with Himalayan pink salt, and enjoy!
