Ingredients:

  • 1 lb Potatoes (450 grams)

    • Sliced however you like. The thinner you slice them, the crispier they will be.

    • I used red potatoes, but you can use russet or gold potatoes as well.

  • Olive Oil Spray

  • Seasoning Mixture:

    • ¼ tsp Fresh Ground Black Pepper

    • ½ tsp Garlic Powder

    • ½ tsp Onion Powder

    • ¼ tsp Crushed Rosemary

  • Himalayan Pink Salt, to taste

Instructions:

  • Preheat the air fryer to 400 degrees.

  • You will blanch your potatoes first, prior to placing them in the air fryer. This helps to remove starch and create a better texture. Bring a small pot of water to a boil. Add your potatoes and boil for 4 minutes. Remove from heat and either rinse with cool water or briefly place in an ice bath.

  • Drain the potatoes thoroughly (you may even pat them dry with a paper towel).

  • Place the potatoes in a large, dry bowl.  Lightly coat them with olive oil spray.

  • Add the seasoning mixture and toss well.

  • Place your potatoes in an even layer into the basket of your preheated air fryer.

  • Cook for 8 minutes, toss, cook for 8 minutes more.

    • Depending on your air fryer, you may have to cook your fries a few minutes longer, especially if you like very crispy fries.

  • Remove the potatoes and toss with Himalayan pink salt, and enjoy!
